GOVXPRT PRIVACY POLICY
Version 1.1 | Last updated: September 2, 2026
1. Information We Collect
GovXprt collects the following types of information to provide and improve our Service:
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
- Profile Information: Professional title, bio, location, areas of expertise, profile photo, and license documents (for Experts).
- Payment Information: Billing details processed through Stripe. GovXprt does not directly store credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials.
- Communications: Messages exchanged between Users and Experts through the platform's messaging system.
1.2 Guest Ask Data
You may submit a question through Guest Ask without creating an account. When you do, we collect:
- The question text you submit and any follow-up messages in that conversation
- The AI response shown to you
- A guest identifier stored in your browser and sent with the request so we can continue the conversation
Guest Ask data may be sent to our AI provider to generate a response. Creating an account is not required to ask a basic question. Talk to an Expert is the paid path for human review.
1.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interaction patterns.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Cookies: Session cookies for authentication and preferences.
1.4 Audio and Video Calls (LiveKit)
If you join an audio or video call on the Platform, we use LiveKit to connect the call. LiveKit processes call-connection data and the audio and video of the session so you can speak with the other participant.
1.5 Third-Party Information
- Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or other personal data.
- Our AI provider: When you use Guest Ask or signed-in AI assistance, the content of your questions and related conversation data is sent to our AI provider so a response can be generated.
- LiveKit: As described above, LiveKit processes call data when you use audio or video calls.
- Stripe: Payment information is processed by Stripe, as described in this Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Provide Guest Ask and signed-in AI assistance as preparation support.
- Facilitate connections between Users and Experts, including Talk to an Expert.
- Enable audio and video calls through LiveKit.
- Process payments through Stripe (authorization holds until job completion, then capture and payout). This is not a licensed escrow account.
- Verify expert credentials and professional licenses.
- Send transactional notifications (e.g., job updates, payment confirmations).
- Improve the platform's functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud.
AI output is preparation support. It is not an official determination, a permit, or a decision by a food authority.
3. Information Sharing & Disclosure
GovXprt does not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Between Users and Experts: When a User hires an Expert, relevant profile information is shared to facilitate the engagement.
- Payment Processing: Payment information is shared with Stripe to process transactions securely.
- AI responses: Question and conversation content may be shared with our AI provider to generate a response.
- Calls: Audio, video, and connection data may be processed by LiveKit to provide a call.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Platform Administration: GovXprt administrators have access to user data for account verification, dispute resolution, and platform management.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure password hashing (bcrypt), and role-based access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Guest Ask conversations may be retained as a record of work on the Platform. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

7. California Privacy Rights (CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CPRA"), gives you additional rights, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
We do not sell personal information as "sell" is defined under the CPRA. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as "share" is defined under the CPRA.
To submit a do-not-sell or do-not-share request, or to exercise other CPRA rights, contact us at support@govxprt.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CPRA rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request, subject to verification.
